How to install Vectr 1.15 A free Vector Graphics on Ubuntu 17.04

   Vectr is a free graphics software used to create vector graphics easily and intuitively. It’s a simple yet powerful web and desktop cross-platform tool to bring your designs into reality. Before we proceed on how to install vectr on Ubuntu, lets take a quick look at its features.

Bug Fixes And Improvements
  • Several fixes to importing external SVGs: now SVGs import even more smoothly, we are working hard making our engine work better and better.
  • Various improvements to pen tool performance and path improvements.
  • Fixed an issue with deleted files re-appearing after being deleted - no more living dead
  • Fixed the issue with .AI and .EPS files being grayed out in the upload file dialog. Now it all works perfectly

Installation instructions:

Open terminal and insert command line...

32Bit OS
$ wget http://download.vectr.com/desktop/0.1.15/linux/Vectr-linux32.zip

$ unzip Vectr-linux32.zip

$ mv linux-unpacked vectr

$ cd vectr

$ ./Vectr

64Bit OS
$ wget http://download.vectr.com/desktop/0.1.15/linux/Vectr-linux64.zip

$ unzip Vectr-linux64.zip

$ mv linux-unpacked vectr

$ cd vectr

$ ./Vectr

Option, remove Vectr

$ sudo rm vectr/
